Willard Palmer
Willard Palmer was born in Ashland county in 1837, and when seven months old was brought into the wilds of Spoon river. He received a practical education here, and here in 1861 married Miss Elsie, daughter of Wilson Garnu, of Michigan, who subsequently settled in this county. Mr. Palmer carries on a large farm and devotes much attention to stock-growing. While appreciating the value of good men in official positions, and. like his father, unpartisan in political affairs, he votes with the Democratic party on all state and national issues.
